The business allowed Airplay 2 and HomeKit to LG TVs with software updates last year. Last month, the company announced the addition of an Apple TV app with full functionality such as video clips from iTunes and full access to the Apple TV+ service. The app is now available for 2019 OLED TVs and high-end LCD TVs, and other specialised LCD series (UM7X & UM6X) may be expected later this month.

In 2019, the Apple TV App is Available for LG TV

With the debut of the app, users no longer need to purchase an Apple TV hardware or use Airplay to view Apple films and many shows in Dolby Vision HDR. The software was available to Samsung Smart TV users last year, and it will be available for considerably larger displays this year. The app will be available for the forthcoming LG TVs in 2020, and those with 2018 models will receive it through a firmware upgrade this year.
